Food Ingredients Europe, one of the most significant networking events in food industries, was held on December 06 – 08th, 2022, with more than 20.000 global participants online and in person. Many exhibitors and visitors showed excitement to have met in person again after years of uncertainty due to the pandemic, making the trade show more vibrant.

“Vegan, vegetarian, plant-based products, innovation in healthy food, innovation product, and sustainable source are the growing trends in Europe. This is where the role of hydrocolloids like agar and carrageenan is needed in such application.” – PT Hakiki Donarta.

The Indonesia Seaweed brand has been widely recognized by the visitors and international buyers since it was first launched in 2018. The online event helps to promote the product catalog of all the exhibitors, including the profile of Indonesia Seaweed members. Some visitors have already looked up the online platform so that they know what they were looking for in the Indonesian pavilion.

Many visitors came to the Indonesian pavilion from the EU countries, USA, South America, Iran, Turkey, Israel, Ukraine, Tunisia, Egypt, Morocco, Japan, Philippines, South Korea, Thailand, China, and India. Most of the customers were aware of the functionality of hydrocolloids and looked forward to using them in applications like processed meat, dairy, cake glaze, pet food, etc.
